Be a Rainmaker!

March 2, 2012 No Comments »

To be truly successful in business, you have to drive revenue. This may sound like too much of a blanket statement, but it’s true in both practice and theory. Even if you’re not in direct sales, you have to think about what kind of revenue the work you do is generating. If you have nothing to do with revenue generation, then you must think about how you are saving the company money. Face it, ladies, you are a commodity, and you’d better be a good investment or you’ll be at risk.

This is exactly why The Glass Hammer’s article, “Five Secrets to Successful Rainmaking” sparked my interest. Though this article is geared at lawyers specifically, the advice in it is applicable to all fields, especially if you’re in a position to bring clients to the table. Set yourself apart. Make some rain!
