Create a Memorable Tagline

Some of the most recognizable brands in the world have something in common – a fantastic tagline. They run the gamut from “You’re not fully clean unless you’re Zestfully clean” to “Just Do It” and “Taste the Rainbow.” But one thing’s for sure, when you associate a company with their tagline, the result can be long lasting and powerful beyond belief. Not only is someone recognizing your company, likely your logo, and what you do, but they’re associating consistent and powerful words with your brand.

Marketing expert Robin Fisher Roffer is the go-to-gal when it comes to personal branding. And recently, on her blog, she covered taglines in the perfect way with “3 Steps to Creating a Memorable Tagline.” Heck, even her own tagline is inspiring. She introduces herself by saying, “I’m Robin Fisher Roffer… I reinvent brands and reignite professionals.” If that doesn’t make you want to invest in her, what will? It’s clear, it’s succinct, and it’s authentic.

Robin gives us three steps. Here’s #1:

Step 1: Identify your unique skills and best qualities, and create a list of descriptive words and phrases that correspond to your professional self. Look for something you can deliver that few can and that you love to do.
