If you’re anything like me, you kind of hate the idea of racing. Why? Because someone wins and it’s usually not you! A group of women in Colorado had the same experience. After numerous bike races where these women were sick of coming to the end of the race after all of the elite riders and finding no food or drinks, they decided it was time to star their own race….no…RIDE! Born of that idea was the Venus de Miles bike race, an opportunity for women only to cycle together in camaraderie and ride.

With how busy the world is today, I think we could all stand to ditch the rat race for a while and go for a RIDE! That’s why Career Girl Network is supporting the Venus de Miles ride benefiting Greenhouse Scholars.

Next weekend, join us in Chicago for the first ride of the year. Also, look for the second of the year in Colorado this September. Click here to learn more about the rides and to register.

The incredible thing about these rides is that they benefit an amazing nonprofit organization, Greenhouse Scholars. Below is a letter from a scholar, and if this doesn’t make you want to ride, nothing will!
