Cassandra Gaddo is managing director of Step Up Women’s Network in Chicago, where she fulfills Step Up’s vision of igniting the success of girls from under-resourced communities and professional women by fostering powerful connections and relationships. She oversees the organization’s regional fundraising, operations, staff, communications, local board and external relations.
Cassandra is known as a passionate advocate for the advancement and empowerment of women and girls. She is a board member of Rape Victim Advocates, Chicago’s first and oldest first response direct-service provider for survivors of sexual assault, and is an ambassador of The Chicago Council on Global Affairs’ Young Professionals, which she represented in the Young Atlanticist Summit as part of the NATO Summit in Chicago. Previously, she served on the CARE Chicago Media Initiative and the Chicago Foundation for Women’s Young Women’s Leadership Council. She frequently writes and speaks about local, national and international women’s issues.
