Honor Your Mother

May 11, 2012 No Comments »

One of my favorite nonprofit organizations, one that is incredibly close to my heart, is finding a new way to honor our mothers during this time leading up to Mother’s Day. Women Thrive Worldwide is an advocacy organization that works tirelessly on behalf of women and girls worldwide to ensure that women and men can share equally in the enjoyment of opportunities, economic prosperity, voice, and freedom from fear and violence.

I had the privilege of getting to know Women Thrive’s Board and Staff in the last year, and believe wholeheartedly in their mission and the world they do worldwide. Advocacy is incredibly important to implementing action on the ground in challenging situations. Women Thrive Worldwide is your advocate, my advocate, and the advocate for women who are sometimes voiceless worldwide.

This Mother’s Day, Women Thrive invites us all to tell them what makes our moms special. Share a story about your mom with Women Thrive by clicking here. Your story might just be shared with the entire Women Thrive Community.

And while you’re at it, go ahead and follow Women Thrive on Facebook, too. They bring you great information about the importance of their work and its impact worldwide daily.
