How Much Is Enough?

Posted June 27, 2013 by Guest Writer in Life After Five

How much money is enough money? A simple savings calculator is a priceless tool that almost magically and instantly reveals the future value of your investment accounts; it can help you answer that million dollar question of how much money is enough.

As a money coach, my work begins with getting clear about what you want your money to do, and the lifestyle you want to have; these are your life goals. Then we assign dollar amounts and time frames to each of these goals. Next, we look at the future value of the amounts you have now using my savings calculator.

A few assumptions have to be made…like, how much you’ll earn on your investment accounts. But, what happens when you focus on this number? You become engagingly challenged to make that number higher!

What does that look like?

  • Measuring the performance of your investment accounts
  • Evaluating that performance
  • Brainstorming ways to make the performance better
  • Learning what you need to learn to be proactive
  • Taking action to make a better return on your money

What’s the end result of this effort? It’s reaching your life goals. And that’s worth our attention!

Head over to the Financial Woman Savings Calculator  and follow the simple directions that I’ve provided on the page, so you can enter your own numbers. (Don’t worry, I’m not watching you.) Play with your numbers. Get excited. If you feel inflated, then ask yourself what you can do to get numbers you want.

How much money is enough? Only you can answer that question, but here’s what I think… Enough money is what it takes for you to reach your life goals and live well along the way.

Now head over and play with the Savings Calculator I created for you.
