Abou Lisa:

Lisa is a full-time freelance writer and career counselor based in New York City. During her four years at Tufts University, she completed five internships in the media and communications industry in Boston, New York City, and Long Island, New York. She interned at ABC’s World News, 1010 WINS, WBZ newsradio, News 12 Long Island, and NPR’s Boston radio station WBUR.

After graduating with a B.A. from Tufts University, Lisa was selected for the NBC Page Program (which is even harder to get into than Harvard University!) As a Page, she worked for the TODAY Show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Dr. Oz, Saturday Night Live, and the USA Network. After the program, Lisa worked as a production assistant for Nightly News with Brian Williams and Nightly News with Lester Holt. Once she discovered my passion for digital media, Lisa became a producer and writer for the TODAY Show’s website (TODAY.com).

Increasingly drawn to the idea of full-time writing, Lisa left TODAY and started freelancing. Now she writes for national websites including TODAY.com, Parents.com, Vetstreet, Blastr, and the Daily Dot. Her career advice appears bi-monthly on Career Girl Network. Her work has also been syndicated on The Huffington Post, Mashable, Salon, Yahoo!, and MSN Living.
