Decisions, decisions! Most of us are faced with little and big decisions all of the time. If you truly stop to think about it, many choices are based off of the grass is always greener mentality. The hard truth is that sometimes the grass is greener and you experience increased happiness on the other side and other times, it isn’t what you had expected.
The next time you are contemplating a life change because you think that the grass will be greener, it is important to manage your expectations. You can help to manage your expectations by asking yourself these three questions.
1. If I make this change in my life, what is the realistic outcome?
2. Why I am driven to make this change?
3. Will I regret it if I make the change and it doesn’t turn out as expected?
No matter how you decide to move forward with your life, don’t forget about the NOW. Focus on the positive and the green grass that exists in your life at this very moment.
