Using LinkedIn’s New Thought-Leaders Feature

November 13, 2012 No Comments »

On October 2nd, LinkedIn unveiled its newest feature – thought leaders. Now, you can follow everyone from President Barack Obama to Melinda Gates and Richard Branson. They’ll post LinkedIn specific content in the form of in-site blogs. When you follow a specific thought-leader, their content will begin to show up in your news feed just like the stories your direct connections post.

LinkedIn is moving into an era where it does more than just connect you to others in your network. You’ll begin to see LinkedIn focused more heavily on content, leadership in multiple career fields, and the ability to converse in a way that creates more than just connections — it will create meaningful long-term relationships with those both inside and outside your network.
