Valentine’s Day for Free

Posted February 11, 2014 by Katie Fleming in Life After Five
Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to break the bank.  The holiday is about celebrating love, not about spending all the dollars you have (despite what the retail industry may say!).

Celebrate Valentine’s Day…for free!

  1. Channel your inner child by building an indoor fort!  Build a fort with blankets, furniture, and pillows for movie night.  Cuddle up, and enjoy each other’s company.
  2. Cook a romantic dinner at home with whatever you have on hand.  For the adventurous couples, challenge each other to a cooking battle!  Whether the meal turns out delicious or disastrous, it’ll be a Valentine’s Day to remember!
  3. Wherever you are – whether at home, walking the dogs, going for a drive, or over video messaging if need be – spend a few moments sharing with each other fun, random memories of moments that you felt loved by one another.
