September 17, 2012 No Comments »
BrainPickings.org recently published “The Science of How Music Enchants the Brain” with the video below attached. It explains, in short, that music can surge our dopamine levels in the same way some drugs can. So if your Monday morning is feeling a little lethargic, think about adding some tunes to surge the dopamine in your brain and control the way your day goes after that.

What songs best enhance your dopamine levels? We’re not sure. But here are a few of our favorite “wake up call” songs to get your Monday going:

  • Wake me Up Before You Go-Go by Wham!
  • One Short Day from the play Wicked
  • Oh, What a Night by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons
  • Start Me Up by the Rolling Stones
  • Good Feeling by Flo Rida
  • Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5

Jump into Monday with your great playlists. What songs get you ready to attack the week? Comment below telling us your favorite “wake up call” songs and one lucky commenter will win a $15 iTunes gift card to create your perfect Monday Playlist!*
