We’ve all been there – we’re in the middle of a busy day, about to rush into a meeting, and oops, a wardrobe malfunction. From a broken heel to a popped button to a major spill at lunch, we all deal with workplace wardrobe issues. So how do you fix them? Other than keeping a huge parka in your office to hide your fashion faux pas, there are hundreds of quick fixes for your daily fashion mishaps.
That’s why I was excited to find Forbes’ recent article, “Workplace Fashion SOS: Quick and Unexpected Fixes for Apparel Disasters.”
Definitely click over to Forbes and read the full article, but here’s my favorite tip – one that will make that pesky underwire pop all better.
The faux pas: Your bra has broken—and you’re being stabbed by the end of your underwire.
The fix: Head to the bathroom and push the wire back in, says McGary. Then dab a drop of superglue on the tear where it’s come through. “It won’t hold together forever,” she says, “But should keep you from being stabbed for the rest of the day.” No superglue? Try tape—anything that keeps the fabric closed will get the job done.
